THE PIONTA CAMPUS

The Arezzo campus of the Department of Philology and Literary Criticism (DFCLAM) is at a 5-minute walk from the town's main train station, in viale L. Cittadini, down the hill known as “Pionta”, one of the most beautiful parks in Arezzo.

The university is located on the area of the former Psychiatric Hospital, whose buildings were bought by the University of Siena and turned into a modern and functional campus, where students can find all the facilities and services they need in their daily academic life. The “Orologio” building hosts the Students Office, the Department's Secretariat, and the IT and Maintenance Offices. Classrooms and laboratories are in the buildings known as “Palazzina Uomini” and “Palazzina Donne”, while professors' and researchers’ offices are in the building known as “ex-Ram”. In this latter building you will also find the Library and the CampusLab, a space dedicated to both self-study and group work. The campus bar and canteen are located next to "Palazzina Uomini". A few steps from the campus, in via Laschi, you will find the student halls of residence.

How to get there:

If you travel by train: from the Campo di Marte exit of the train station take viale Luigi Cittadini on your right-hand side and walk down a few metres, then turn left on viale dei Ricercatori;

If you travel by car and are looking for a parking space: students can request a monthly pass for the parking area of the San Donato Hospital for € 15.00 (the standard fee is one Euro per day). You can request the pass from ATAM:  https://www.atamarezzo.it/it/abbonamenti.

The campus is open from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm.
